Transition: College
College. Hmm.. Everyone in school talks about it. It's suppose to be a symbol of maturity, freedom and fun. A getaway from the nagging parents and house chores. I've been in college for 7 months now. Life has not been much different. Yeah sure, the environment's different. You meet different sets of people. People from all walks of life come together. Truth is, its not much of a difference from school. There still are classes, homework, and assignments with actual due dates!! And the nagging parents? Belive me, you actually tend to miss them! Scary, but very true. Undeniably though, college does have its advantages. Late night burger outings are now a routine. That Ramly burger stall sure does dish out awesome chicken burgers. Oh and in case you're wondering which burger stall it is, I'm in Inti Nilai. The stall is a mere stonethrow away from the hostels. I love football, repeat, LOVE! Remember those times where Wednesday used to be football day? Well, everyday is football day here!! Best part of it is, everyone plays. Chinese people, Indonesians, Arabians and Africans whose sublime football skills, are unmatchable. Life here would not be as fun without my friends from school that are here with me now. Its like being in SMM St. Davids all over again!! Shiva, Shaun, Ruban, Raymond, Iyngy, Pats, u guys rock!! And then there are the late night gossip sessions. Yes, girls are not the only ones who gossip. Stories are REALLY interesting. We stay up until the wee hours just talking about...anything really! Well being guys, its mostly about girls and football!! Moving on to classes. Classes in college are fun!! Its not the usual type of all-listen-and-make-notes classes. On the contrary, we have fun in class. It really helps when the lecturers are full of stories like Mr Kumar, Ms Yap and Ms Choo. Those are my physics and bio lecturers in order. Quote Mr Liam(Chemistry lecturer), 'Chemistry is interesting and fun. You tend to see the world in a new light and explore new frontiers all while having fun'. Well sir, I'm sorry to say, chemistry is not as fun as it sounds. Truth is, its a pain the rear! Then again, no one said A Levels was going to be easy. All in all, i love college!! Though I am going to be labelled a mama's boy for this, i miss my mum!!!
